Family: Cicadellidae
Subfamily: Typhlocybinae
Length: typically 3.3-3.5 mm
This species is not unlike Typhlocyba gillettei, but the front transverse band is irregular in its thickness. The two species may also be separated by the host plants, since Typhlocyba apicata specializes on Hop Hornbeam, while Typhlocyba gillettei feeds on a number of other plants but not Hop Hornbeam.
