This species is most commonly found on Grape, both wild and cultivated. It is occasionally found on Redbud and Buckeye as well.
While there are no published records for Erythroneura beameri in West Virginia, the reason is the relatively small number of leafhopper studies done in the state over the years. The Erythroneura beameri shown here was photographed in Upshur County on October 20, 2006, where it was attracted to lights. Numerous specimens have been collected in nearby Ohio and Pennsylvania as well.
