Bandara is a small genus, made up of four species of golden yellow leafhoppers. The genus is closely related to two others, Eutettix and Mesamia.
Adult leafhoppers in the genus Bandara are most commonly seen in West Virginia in late summer and early fall.
Separating the various species in the genus is almost impossible without dissection; the key identification traits are in the internal male genitalia.
