Tipula (Lunatipula) bicornis ranges from Wisconsin and Ontario to Quebec and New Brunswick, south to Kansas, Arkansas, and Virginia.
Unlike some of its close relatives, Tipula (Lunatipula) bicornis has only one season per year, with adults emerging in West Virginia in May and June.
