This species always attracts attention, with its metallic green elytra and the brassy pronotum with a rainbow sheen.
Pictured is at right is a minor male, which has a nub rather than a long, curving horn. Females have neither nub nor horn.
Major males have a pronotum that is noticeably more angular than that of the minor males and females.
