Some of the key traits of this species are: long rostrum, and a punctate pronotum that is not as wide as the base of the elytra. The elytra are striate and ridged, and have a broad white band behind the middle.
Dillon and Dillon (1972) report this species has been collected in a variety of ways: at lights, under moist bark, and on Hickories, Quince, and Asters.
