This metallic green beetle with the bold yellow markings and the red legs is hard to mistake for any other. Note that the metallic green color continues on the beetle's underside, too.
Host plants of Buprestis rufipes are various hardwoods, including species of Maple, Beech, Elm, Tupelo, and Oak.
