Length: 8-15 mm
As with a similar West Virginia species, Oberea affinis, larvae of Oberea perspicillata bore in the living canes of Rubus (Blackberry and Raspberry species).
Oberea perspicillata are active as adults as early as April and throughout the summer. The beetle shown here had its photograph made at lights in Upshur County on 21 July 2008.
