Length: 9-16 mm

Lytta aenea features bronzy elytra and a green head and pronotum. The legs are reddish-orange, with the femora often dark at the apices. The antennae are black.

This is a springtime species, with adults found on apple blossoms and the flowers of other members of the Rose family.
